!!!Frauenstein, Wallfahrtsort

Frauenstein, Upper Austria, district of Kirchdorf an der Krems, place 
of pilgrimage in the municipality of Molln. The parish and pilgrimage 
church was completed in 1488 and redecorated in Baroque style in the 
17%%sup th/%  century; the Baroque high altar (built at the end of the 
17%%sup th/%  century) contains a painting of the Virgin Mary credited 
with miraculous powers (15%%sup th/%  century) and a late Gothic 
Madonna of Mercy (around 1515, attributed to G. Erhart, commissioned 
by Maximilian I).
