Professions, Liberal, in Austria, independent and non-trade affiliated 
professions primarily in the service sector. Academic liberal 
professions include physicians, dentists, pharmacists, architects, 
engineers, lawyers, tax advisers and chartered accountants/auditors; 
other liberal professions include artists, musicians, variety 
performers, non-medical practitioners, writers, translators, 
interpreters, private tutors, etc. They are mostly organised in 
chambers or associations which represent their interests.
