Open-air Theatres: often performed against the background of 
impressive scenery (Theatre on the Lake in Bregenz), in front of 
important buildings ("Jedermann" performances on the Cathedral Square 
in Salzburg, the garden pavilion in Melk, the Baroque church in 
Stockerau) or in castle ruins (Altfinkenstein). The Felsentheater in 
Hellbrunn and the Heckentheater (1704-1708) in the Mirabellgarten in 
Salzburg were established in the Baroque era.
