Friedlaender, Max, b. Pszczyna, Poland (then Pless), June 18, 1829, 
d. Nice (France), April 20, 1872, journalist. From 1856 worked 
for the newspaper "Presse". Together with Michael  Etienne founded 
another newspaper,  "Neue Freie Presse" in 1864. Also in charge of the 
economic section of the newspaper, the "Economist".
