Fritzens, Tirol, municipality in the district of Innsbruck-Land, alt. 
591 m, pop. 1,848, area 6.14 km%%sup 2/%, situated on the left bank of 
the River Inn across from Wattens. - Brick and cement plant, trade 
(do-it-yourself market, wood). - Ancient archeological findings 
("Melaun-F.-Group", especially ceramics), first mentioned in a 
document around 1170. Late Gothic residence of Tierburg (around 1480), 
chapel with Rococo altar (around 1760); parish church (1933).
