b. Vienna, Dec. 16, 1841, 
d. Vienna, June 8, 1892, industrialist. After the death of his 
father Ferdinand  Fruwirt the Elder, he took over the metal and weapon 
factories in Lower Austria in 1867. Switched to the production of 
breech-loading guns and later to civil products.
