Fuss (German for foot (part of the body); also "Schuh"), unit of
length derived from the length of the human foot, 0.316 m, divided
into Zoll (= 2.63 cm). Six Fuss make up a Klafter, measuring 1.894 m
(according to an original model Klafter in the Historisches Museum der
Stadt Wien). The unit of measurement used to determine altitude in
