board of the "Erste oesterreichische Spar-Casse" bank from 1973, 
Chairman of the Board 1989-1997. Professor at the Vienna University of 
Economics and Business Administration (principal subjects: bank 
automation and bank management), vice-president of the Vienna Economic 
Chamber. Since 1999 Chairman of the Takeover Commission, which 
monitors takeovers of companies listed on the stock exchange.
