Funder Industrie GmbH, company for processing sustainable raw materials(wood-fibre panels, coated panels, natural fibre matting, impregnated wall papers, insulating panels etc). Karl Funder (b. Oct. 15, 1866, 
d. Oct. 10, 1943) purchased his first sawmill in 1890, and the paper 
mill Poeckstein and other sawmills in 1911. His son Adolf Funder 
founded the first wood-fibre panel plant in St. Veit an der Glan 
(Carinthia) in1943; F. has been producing wood-fibre panels since the 
1940s, and coating chipboard and fibre panels since 1967. Funder has 
been owned by Constantia Ind. Holding AG, now called  Constantia-Iso 
Holding AG. Production sites: 3 in St. Veit an der Glan, 2 in 
Kuehnsdorf (in the municipality of Ebendorf, Carinthia) and 1 in 
Rudolstadt in Germany. Turnover totalled ATS 1.3 billion in 1997, with 
an export ratio of over 70 %; Funder employs 460 workers.
