Goelis, Leopold Anton, b. Weissenbach (Styria), Oct. 19, 1764, 
d. Vienna, Feb. 20, 1827, paediatrician. From 1794 medical 
director of the 1st public institute for sick children in Vienna; 
worked free of charge and focused more on practical work than on 
research.
