Goellstock Mountains, massif in the Salzburg Limestone Alps, part of 
the Berchtesgaden mountain range, north of the Hagengebirge mountains 
between the Bluntautal and Weissenbachtal valleys. Highest peak: Hoher 
Goell (2,522 m) at the border of Bavaria and the province of Salzburg. 
Mountain refuges: Purtschellerhaus (1,692 m), Carl-von-Stahl-Haus 
(1,733 m).
