!!!Görzer Grafen

Goerzer Grafen (Counts of Gorizia) following the marriage of
Meinhard III ( Meinhard I Meinhardiner) with Adelheid,
daughter of Albert III of Tyrol, after his death in 1253 also
Counts of Tyrol. The family split into 2 lines in 1271: The Tyrolean
line of Meinhard IV ( Meinhard II) died out with Margarete
Maultasch, who ruled until 1363. The younger line ruled over
Gorizia/Goerz (Isonzo valley) and Eastern Tyrol. From 1271, Bruck
castle near Lienz was the family seat. The family began to lose
influence from the 14th century and died out with Leonhard in 1500;
their estates (in East Tyrol they owned Lienz, Virgen, Kals, and
Heunfels; in the Puster valley Innichen etc., Gorizia, Gradiska) fell
to the Habsburgs in accordance with the testamentary contract of 1394.
