!!!Götschl, Renate

b. Judenburg, Styria, Aug. 6, 1975, racing skier. Considered a highly 
talented competitive skier by the age of 16, she suffered numerous 
injuries and setbacks. Nevertheless, she won the combined title at the 
1997 world championships, was World Cup downhill winner in 1997/1998 
and 1998/1999, World Cup overall winner and super-G slalom winner in 
1999/2000, and in 2000/2001 she was second overall in the World Cup 
and silver medal winner in downhill at the world championships in St. 
Anton.
