Gagern, Baron Friedrich von, b. Mokrice Palace, Slovenia (then Mokritz), June 26, 1882, 
d. Geigenberg near St. Leonhard am Forst (Lower Austria), Nov. 15, 
1947, author, grandson of Baron Max Ludwig von  Gagern. Studied 
philosophy, history and literary history in Vienna, later worked as 
editor for a magazine and as a free-lance author from 1914. Travelled 
to Africa and America and expressed his strong feeling for nature in 
his novels and tales.
