Ganahl, Rainer, b. Bludenz (Vorarlberg), Oct. 18, 1961, 
media artist. Studied in Innsbruck, Vienna (with P.  Weibel) and 
Duesseldorf; has lived in New York since 1990. His works involve 
interrelationships between politics, art and society. G. is 
particularly interested in the phenomena of language and text, and 
holds "reading seminars" all over the world.
