d. Vienna, Oct. 19, 1905 historical and enamel paintings. Illustrator 
and etcher, studied under J. von  Fuehrich at the Vienna Academy of 
Fine Arts, where he taught from 1853-1865.

illustration of books; water colour paintings to songs by F. 
Schubert, to Mozarts "Don Juan", Weber's "Der Freischuetz" and J. 
Haydn's "Die Jahreszeiten"; frescoes and grisailles for the Vienna 
Opera, the Burgtheater and the Albertina collection of graphic 
reproductions.
