b. Přerov, Czech Republic (then Prerau), Oct. 7, 1911, 
d. Baden (Lower Austria), June 12, 1994, manager in the industrial 
sector. Studied mining at the University of Mining and Metallurgy in 
Leoben; 1971-1978 president of the OeIAG (nationalised industries), 
achieved the merger of various separate sections in the OeIAG.
