Geltar, medieval wandering minstrel (mid -13th century); since he 
mentions the village of Merkersdorf possibly from the Lower Austrian 
area; his poetry was influenced among others by  Neidhart von Reuental 
and was conceived in opposition to the lack of realism in minne songs.
