Gerlitzen Mountain, Carinthia, alt. 1,909 m, prominent landmark 
providing a panoramic view, skiing area, to the north-east of Villach, 
overlooking Lake Ossiach. Single cable ropeway leading from Annenheim 
to Waldtratte (alt. 1,463 m) and G. cableway from there to the 
peak; observatory of the Kaerntner Sternfreunde ("friends of stars") 
association, "Kanzelhoehe" solar observatory of the University of 
Graz. Access is provided by roads: from Arriach to the peak 
(Gipfelstrasse road), from Bodensdorf and from Treffen. Mountain 
refuges: Stifters-Gipfelhaus, Gasthof Pacheiner, Hotel Berger.
