Gesswein, Alfred, b. Mosonmagyarovár, Hungary (then Ungarisch-Altenburg), Jan. 6, 1911; 
d. Vienna May 13, 1983, poet, author of radio plays, graphic artist. 
His poetry about landscapes and nature ranged from fantastic subjects 
(1960s) to current environmental problems. Publisher of literary 
yearbooks "Konfigurationen" (1965-1972) and co-publisher of the 
literary magazine "Podium" (1971ff.).
