Ginhart, Karl, b. St. Veit an der Glan (Carinthia), Nov. 21, 1888, 
d. Vienna, March 10, 1971, art historian. From 1926-1939 state 
curator of the Austrian Federal Office for the Preservation of 
Historical Monuments, from 1930 director of the Institute of Art 
History in Vienna; from 1942-1960 professor at the University of 
Technology in Vienna.

monuments of historic and artistic value (esp. Carinthia and Vienna).
