b. Gorizia, Italy (then Goerz), Sept. 29, 1840, 
d. Graz (Styria), Feb. 21, 1906, law scholar, politician (member of 
the German-Liberal party); father of Wenzeslaus  Gleispach. 1892 and 
1898 president of the Higher Regional Court in Graz, 1895-1897 
Minister of Justice. Greatly contributed to establishing the Styrian 
land registry and to the construction of the justice department 
building in Graz.
