d. Muehlau bei Innsbruck (Tyrol), March 1534, ore caster. Probably 
from Innsbruck-Hoetting. G. was called to Innsbruck from Nuremberg in 
1508 as a caster of rifles; cast the 23 small statuettes of the 
Habsburg dynasty's family saints designed by J.  Koelderer and 
modelled by L. Magt for the  Tomb of Maximilian in the Innsbruck 
Hofkirche between 1514 and 1520. After 1518 cast large statues for 
tombs.
