Goldegg im Pongau, province of Salzburg, municipality in the district 
of Sankt Johann im Pongau, alt. 823 m, pop. 1,978, area 33.05 
km%%sup 2/%. Summer and winter tourism (122,068 overnight stays) at 
Lake Goldegg; situated on a plateau west of the town of Schwarzach. - 
Golf course, rehabilitation centre and health resort run by the 
regional health insurance institution. - Gothic parish church, 1884 
alterations and decorations in neo-Romanesque style, Crucifixion group 
(1330), high altar (1790), castle (1323/1536) with function room from 
the Renaissance (painted ceilings and panelling from 1500, frescoes 
from around 1536), now museum of the history of the Pongau region, 
school of painting and drawing; country seat Judenhof (16%%sup th/%  
century).
