!!!Goldscheider, Friedrich, Wiener Manufaktur

Goldscheider, Friedrich, Wiener Manufaktur, founded in Vienna in1885; 
Production of china and majolica ware. Since 1880 the production site 
has been repeatedly given awards for the manufacture of beautiful 
figurines, painted and designed in the style of the fin de 
siècle and art deco. Friedrich Goldscheider opened branches in 
Paris and Leipzig and after his death his wife and sons ran the family 
business. The family emigrated to the USA in 1938, where they 
continued to successfully manufacture and sell their goods. The 
Goldscheider family re-opened their Viennese production site in 1949, 
but had to close down in 1953.
