Ab 1137/38 Abt von Admont, führte die Hirsauer Reform ein, begann nach einem Brand 1152 den Wiederaufbau des Klosters. Er war als Schriftsteller tätig, vergrößerte die Bibliothek und eröffnete eine eigene Mal- und Schreibschule.
