Grafe, Felix (real name: Loewy), b. Humpolec, Czech Republic (then Humpoletz), July 9, 1888,
d. Vienna, Dec. 18, 1942 (executed), poet and translator; part of
the circle around F. Wedekind and H. Mann; first poems 1908 in the
"Fackel" (critical contemporary publication by K. Kraus); translated
esp. works by W. Shakespeare, O. Wilde and C. Baudelaire; 1918-1920
editor-in-chief of "Der Anbruch"; arrested for writing an anti-fascist
poem in 1941, executed in 1942.
