Granig, Anton#
b. Mitten (municipality of Grosskirchheim, Carinthia), Sept. 17, 1901, d. Stein an der Donau (Lower Austria), April 15, 1945 (executed), priest. Director of the brotherhood of St. Joseph in Klagenfurt; sentenced to death on Aug. 11, 1944 for allegedly being a leader of the Austrian anti-fascist movement for freedom ("Antifaschistische Freiheitsbewegung Oesterreichs") and executed by a firing squad in the courtyard of Stein prison.
