Greiner Holding AG, holding company of the companies owned by the 
Grainer family established in 1989 which originated in a factory 
founded in 1898 in Kremsmuenster (Upper Austria). Restructuring 
measures in 1999 enabled the individual companies to take up 
independent activities. Production of foamed materials for laboratory 
and packaging technology and for the production of tools, mechanical 
engineering and terotechnology at 79 locations all over the world. 
Production of plastic corks for the wine and champagne industries; 
applied sealing technology for vehicles and the sterilisation of 
laboratory equipment and food packaging. 1997/1998 turnover ATS 
4.8 billion, 3,500 employees.
