d. Salzburg, Jan. 24, 1946, journalist and author; brother of Rudolf  
Greinz. Co-founder of the "Pan" society in Linz in 1898; in 1901 
editor-in-chief of different newspapers ("Tiroler Tagblatt", "Zeit", 
"Vienna Volkszeitung"); 1899-1902 publisher of the newspaper "Der 
Kyffhaeuser".
