Grom-Rottmayer, Hermann, b. Vienna, Dec. 20, 1877,
d. Vienna, Jan. 24, 1953, painter, stage lighting technician.
Studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts from 1903-1906 and at the
Munich Academy under L. Herterich from 1906-1908. Teacher at the Art
School for Women and Girls in Vienna, in 1926 professor at Vienna
University of Technology, founded the first seminar for theatre
production, artificial lighting and neon advertising in Vienna.
