Grundig Austria GmbH, Vienna; founded in 1968 as "Grundig Minerva 
GmbH", through the purchase of the Viennese company "Minerva Radio W. 
Wohlleber & Co" by the German electronics company Grundig; renamed in 
1977. Manufacturers in the field of consumer electronics, mainly 
television sets, video recorders, hi-fi systems and car stereos. In 
1993/1994 2,111 employees produced about 1.8 million television 
sets with a diagonal size of up to 95 cm. Other fields of 
activity include telecommunications and satellite technology. The 
company is 100 % owned by Grundig AG, Fuerth (Germany).
