!!!Gstettnerboden

Gstettnerboden (Gstettneralm), Lower Austria, basin near Lunz, at the 
northern side of the Duerrensteinstock mountain, presumably developed 
out of several dolines or sinkholes, has the lowest winter 
temperatures in Austria (down to -50° C). Inversion of the 
usual vegetation stages: the treeless and shrubless doline bottom is 
followed by slopes covered with dwarf pines and coniferous trees.
