b. Mils (Tyrol), June 3, 1961, author. Studied mathematics, from 1989 
"Stadtschreiber von Graz" ("town-writer of Graz"). His volume of 
narratives, "Einer" (1988) and his novel "Register" (1992) deal with 
the subjects of homeland and foreign parts. Awarded the Prize of the 
Province of Carinthia in the I. Bachmann Wettbewerb (literary 
competition) in 1989 and the A. Doeblin Prize in 1999.
