Guarinoni(us), Hippolyt, b. Trento (Italy), Nov. 18, 1571, 
d. Hall in Tirol, May 31, 1654, polyhistorian, author of 
popular literature, personal physician to Emperor Ferdinand II in 
Prague, from 1607 monastery physician and town physician in Hall, 
pioneered public health and pastoral medicine, advocated public piety. 
Architect of St. Karl's church in Volders. Described the mineral 
springs of Eggerdach and Volders.
