Gurlitt, Wolfgang, b. Berlin (Germany), Feb. 15, 1888, 
d. Munich (Germany), March 26, 1965, art dealer in Berlin, after 
1945 in Munich. 80 paintings from his collection were first on loan to 
the City of Linz in 1947 and then bought in 1953; they made up the 
basis for the collection of the "Neue Galerie der Stadt Linz, 
W.-G.-Museum".
