business sciences; politician (Austrian People's Party, OeVP). 
1977-1981 OeVP deputy federal party leader, from 1991-1997 Federal 
Chairman of OeAAB (Austrian Federation of Workers and Employees); 
since 1997 civil servant at the Ministry of Science/Ministry of 
Education, dealing with international issues; from 1975-1999 member of 
the Nationalrat; from 1979-1993 spokesman of the OeVP.
