d. Munich (Germany, suicide), Oct. 14, 1945, chemist, 1911-1918 
professor in Prague, 1922 in Munich. Great contributions to the 
precise re-determination of atomic weights. 1910 was the first to 
determine the atomic weight of radium at the Vienna Institute for 
Radium Research.
