Hoerbiger, Hanns, b Vienna-Atzgersdorf, Nov. 29, 1860, 
d. Vienna, Oct. 11, 1931, engineer; grandson of Alois  Hoerbiger, 
father of Paul  Hoerbiger and Attila  Hoerbiger. Constructed the first 
light, frictionless disk valve for blowers, pumps and compressors 
(patent 1895). Originator of the  Welteislehre, a theory of cosmogony 
which is not based on scientific principles.
