Haag am Hausruck, Upper Austria, market town in the district of 
Grieskirchen, alt. 505 m, pop. 1,992, area 17.01 km%%sup 2/%, in 
the Hausruckwald region, east of Ried im Innkreis. - District 
court, youth welfare branch office of the District Commission, sports 
grounds, golf course, summer tobogganing course; economy dominated by 
trade and industry: production of plastic coating materials, 
pre-fabricated houses and fire doors, screen printing business. - 
Parish church with late Baroque interior (end of 18%%sup th/%  
century); Starhemberg Castle (first documented mention 1246), building 
from the 16%%sup th/%  century, tower and chapel in the north wing 
built 1926-1930.
