Haas, Arthur Erich, b. Brno, Czech Republic (then Bruenn), April 30, 1884,
d. Chicago (USA), Feb. 20, 1941, physicist, atomic researcher,
university professor in Leipzig, Vienna, London and from 1935 in the
USA; 1910 recognised the significance of Planck's Constant and applied
quantum theory to the behaviour of atoms.
