Haas, Robert, b. Prague (Czech Republic), Aug. 15, 1886, 
d. Vienna, Oct. 4, 1960, musicologist, professor at the 
University of Vienna, 1920-1945 head of the Department of Music at the 
Austrian National Library, where he was co-founder of the phonogram 
archives; in his writings he specialised in the Baroque and in 
Viennese Classicism.

Die Musik des Barocks, 1929; Mozart, 1933; Bruckner, 1934; Bach 
und Mozart in Wien, 1951. - published complete works of A. Bruckner 
(with A. Orel and L. Nowak, 1930-1945) and the literary estate of H. 
Wolf (with H. Schultz, 1935ff.).
