Hacker, Viktor von, b. Vienna, Oct. 21, 1852, 
d. Graz (Styria), May 20, 1933, surgeon. Student of T.  Billroth, 
1887-1894 professor at the University of Vienna, 1894-1903 in 
Innsbruck, 1904-1924 Head of the Institute of the Surgical University 
Clinic in Graz. Significant achievements in surgery on the oesophagus, 
stomach and intestine.
