Hadersdorf-Kammern, Lower Austria, market town in the district of 
Krems an der Donau, alt. 202 m, pop. 1,861, area 4.80 
km%%sup 2/%, wine-growing town in the lower Kamptal valley, on the 
north-western edge of the Tulln Basin. Cadastral districts Hadersdorf 
am Kamp and Kammern. - Leisure park; production of baking machines, 
trade (building materials, cars, etc.), building trade (e.g. 
conservatories), viniculture. - Settlements from the Bronze Age and 
the Hallstatt period, excavation of 130 graves from the urnfield 
culture; first documented mention 1136; parish church with Baroque 
decorations 1746-1756; charnel house (1260-1270, rotunda, renovated 
1960/61 and used as mortuary); main square with façades from 
the 16%%sup th/%  - 19%%sup th/%  centuries; town hall (after 
1574, partly with Baroque decorations); pillory (16%%sup th/%  
century).
