b. Prague (Czech Republic), May 9, 1822, 
d. Vienna, March 5, 1901, balneologist, physician, from 1863 
lecturer in neuropathology in Vienna, then spa physician in Bad 
Gastein. Wrote the first official book about balneology at the time of 
the monarchy (1862) and published a chronicle about Bad Gastein in 
1876.
