Hafner, Rudolf, b. Vienna, June 5, 1893, 
d. Vienna, March 4, 1951, landscape painter and set designer. After 
training in Munich and study trips to many countries including 
Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Hungary and Poland, became set and 
costume designer at the Burgtheater, the Akademietheater and other 
theatres, in 1939 member of the Vienna Kuenstlerhaus.
