b. Strass (Germany), June 22, 1732, 
d. Vienna, Sept. 9, 1810, sculptor; brother of Wolfgang  Hagenauer. 
Worked in the period of transition between late Baroque and early 
classicist; court sculptor in Salzburg, from 1774 head of the 
sculpture course at the Vienna Academy.

Altars: Schottenfeld church (Vienna), Boeckstein and 
Koestendorf (Salzburg), Muellner-Kirche and Nonnberg (city of 
Salzburg); pictures in Zwischenwaessern castle (Carinthia); fountains 
and statues in Schoenbrunn.
