Haider, Johann, b. Oberneukirchen (Upper Austria), May 10, 1942, 
engineer and manager. Studied telecommunications technology at the 
University of Technology in Vienna. In 1977 technical head and in 1979 
authorised signatory of the Wiener Kabel- und Metallwerke AG. In 1988 
managing director of Siemens AG Austria, in 1989 member of the board 
and chairman of the board for the product group audio and video 
technology. Since 1994 spokesman of the board of directors of the 
Oesterreichische Elektrizitaetswirtschafts AG (Verbundgesellschaft, 
the federal utilities holding).
