Halauska, Ludwig, b. Waidhofen an der Ybbs (Lower Austria), Sept. 24, 1827, 
d. Vienna, April 29, 1882, landscape painter. Studied at the 
Vienna Academy under T.  Ender and F.  Steinfeld and created 
emotionally expressive paintings of landscapes in Lower Austria, 
Austrian alpine regions and especially the Salzkammergut region. His 
late works are marked by elements of Austrian Impressionism.
