Hallstatt Limestone, important rock formation from the Triassic period 
in the Northern Limestone Alps, rich in fossils (particularly 
ammonites of worldwide significance, e.g. from the Feuerkogel mountain 
near Mitterndorf in the Salzkammergut area). Used as ornamental stone.
